Vivian Moore, a junior at Fresno Central High in California, won the girls triple jump and placed second in the long jump at the Gateway to Track and Field Invitational at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High in Clovis, Calif. Moore achieved a 36-9 (11.20m) performance to prevail in the triple jump and had a leap of 17-0.50 (5.19m) in the long jump.
